Given the filmmaker’s unique vision and experience with sci-fi as seen in the Krypton scene in Man of Steel, to see that on an even bigger scale is incredibly intriguing. That was since repurposed into its own original project now as Rebel Moon. Zack Snyder previously mentioned that he had a pitch for his own Star Wars film.

And frankly, what I’m really interested with this movie is creating a romantic sci-fi film on a scale that is just frankly as big as you can make a movie and that’s the thing that really makes me excited.”

But on the biggest steroids that I can give it. That’s kind of what we’re doing in Rebel Moon. “The beginning of Man of Steel has some pretty big science fiction elements in it,” says Snyder referring to scenes in the film depicting the violent destruction of the planet Krypton as it becomes obliterated in space. With Rebel Moon currently in development, he teased the astronomical scale of the film compared to his Man of Steel prelude, telling the Post-Credit Podcast the following: The vision of Zack Snyder gave Kal-El’s home world a unique, distinct sci-fi aesthetic that teases an exciting space epic in the filmmaker’s future. The opening scene of Man of Steel follows the archetypical origin of Superman (Henry Cavill) and the inevitable destruction of his home planet Krypton. Interestingly enough, we already got a sense at the type of scale we should expect from the film, based on the portrayal of Krypton in the opening scene of Man of Steel. Earlier this year, his horror epic Army of the Dead was released, and now he is looking to direct his sci-fi passion project Rebel Moon for the streaming giant. and DC Films, Zack Snyder is looking to continue his creative collaboration with Netflix. Last time out for D.C., Hans Zimmer went up against Danny Elfman’s “Batman” score - and provided up to the job with his music for The Dark Knight trilogy. while wearing a very un-intimidating green-screen suit. It’s enjoyable to watch Michael Shannon explain how he tried to be as intimidating as possible as General Zod. This feature allows you to at times watch the movie with two screens - one of them showing the finished movie, the other showing simultaneously showing the filming of that same scene. One of the best is “Journey of Discovery: Creating Man of Steel” - a director’s commentary that includes insights from cast members and the production team. So, should you pony up for the DVD, let alone the Blu-Ray. If you do decide to spend your hard-earned fanboy bucks on “Man of Steel,” then you were likely OK with Zack Snyder’s somewhat controversial red-trunkless take on the Man of Tomorrow. Given reports out of Hollywood about the “Man of Steel” sequel (Bat-fleck multiple athletic actresses trying out for a role that may or may not be Wonder Woman a possible appearance by Barry “The Flash” Allen), a re-viewing of “Man of Steel” isn’t just taking a closer look at the Last Son of Krypton’s latest adventure.
